meet the owner, elena smith

Elena Smith, CVA created ATL TAILS ADVANCED PET CARE due to the high demand and request from pet owners wanting trustworthy, stress free, reliable and mostly affordable pet care for their fur babies in the comfort of their own home. 

Elena is currently an oncology nurse for animals three days a week however, travels to clients houses for basic needs and advanced pet care needs.

FUN FACTS:

Became a Veterinary Certified Assistant in 2017.

Basic life and advanced life CPR certified.

Built internet racks for a Google outsourcing company for several years while working at an animal clinic part time. 

Fell into grooming due to having two Schnauzers and fostered Yorkshire terrier with rapid hair growth. Trained with Petsmart.

Received command and behavior training from two top graduates from The Tom Rose School.

Became an ordained minister in 2019.

Officiated 3 weddings in 2023.

Cared for 11 ferrets at one time.

Rehomed 16 animals since ATL TAILS opened.

Placed a catheter in a goat's ear to administer fluids.

Kayaking and playing basketball are favorite hobbies.

I have a 16 yr old Schnauzer + 1 DSH cat.

I recently fostered two amazing guinea pigs named Ozzie and Cosmo.
